The Maria Teresa Estate derives its name from the 18th century villa's most famous resident, the Duchess of Lucca, Maria Teresa of Savoy, wife of Carlo Lodovico of Bourbon.
The farm and villa are located on a hilltop in the village of San Martino in Vignale, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and woods. The property enjoys a 360° panorama which takes in Lucca and the river Serchio, the Pisan mountains and the valley of the Freddana river (the Valfreddana). On all sides there are distant mountains and forests, making nature the predominant feature.
From Lucca
Leave the motorway at the Lucca exit and follow the road signs for the centre (Centro) and then for Camaiore.
Cross the 'Monte San Quirico' bridge and immediately turn left. Continue through S. Alessio and follow signs for Pieve Santo Stefano and then San Martino in Vignale, looking out for signs for Tenuta Maria Teresa.
From Capannori
Leave the motorway at the Capannori exit and follow the road for Lucca, follow the road signs for the centre and then for Camaiore. Cross the 'Monte San Quirico' bridge and immediately turn left. Continue through S. Alessio and follow signs for Pieve Santo Stefano and then San Martino in Vignale, looking out for signs for Tenuta Maria Teresa.
From the train station you can reach the Tenuta just by taxi.
Pisa airport is 25 km far.
